TOYS!!!

Recently I was whining a lot talking to a friend (who is a foster mamma) about all that Grant and I lack to be deemed suitable parents by the state of Kansas. Among that which I listed was toys.

On Sunday, we returned home from church to see a big pretty bag in our driveway filled with the best of treat: TOYS! Until now our focus has been on magnetic locks, outlet covers, baby gates and similarly boring necessities-but Sunday evening we got to share in the joy of imagining our futures playing with these, our first toys!

Thank you, unnamed friends. I’ve never been so sentimentally attached to a Mr. Potato Head. Truly.
