And so God created art for us to sing, paint, dance, write, sculpt, draw, and decorate all of the things that our hearts want to "say" but needs something other than words to do so. This song so does that for my heart. I think a lot about what my boys have endured and how we will tell them about that one day. I think about questions we will undoubtedly be asked about their birth parents and when we'll choose to share what. Most of all I think about how ridiculous and absurd it is that these sons of our are capable of joy and laughter and love in the depths that they are- oh how they teach me.
Thank you, kind and gracious Father for this. You didn't NEED to give us art, but you did, knowing that you created us with a yearning to express and to be understood. Oh, what a good Daddy in Heaven you are. Melts my heart that you love me like this, Abba.
You are the strongest among people
That live around you, but you don't know it I hope you never will
I hope you never will
You grow to be the one that you should be
Gallant and selfless, but you don't know it
I hope you never will
I hope you never will
You've been through so much and grow through more still
Brave as a lion, but you don't know it
I hope you never will
I hope you never will
I have no reason for why I say this
For you might hear and might come to know this
I hope you never will
I hope you never will
You might someday see what you are truly
And how I pale in comparison to thee
I hope you never will
I hope you never will
Friend, hold on to me, for I want to see
You become the person you should be
I've always known you will
I've always known you will
