Wichita, Kansas is not necessarily the epicenter of all of "the action." We certainly don't have the assets that larger cities posses. On something we have that makes me especially proud-especially in this time of need-is an organization called Numana. It's headquarters aren't even IN Wichita, they're in an even SMALLER town outside of our metropolis!
The mission of Numana is to empower and to save the starving. They specialize in staging food packaging events. Each meal that is sent out costs just THIRTY CENTS! These meals are made up of soy, rice, vegetables and chicken flavoring-and they contain twenty-one essential vitamins that specifically target the immune system. THIRTY CENTS!
Tonight and tomorrow Numana is staging an emergency packaging event for those who have been affected by the recent events in Haiti. They have such a service to give our brothers and sisters who just suffered a giant trauma-and they need our help. The invitation has been extended to anyone in the area who can come and commit some time to packaging. Just show up and do some work! If you're unable to attend but can spare some change, please go to Numana's website and donate! Just $10 will provide 33 people with meals. Seriously. Below are the details of the event-hope to see you there!
