...a Facebook friend of mine does. She's studying theology and recently posted this on Facebook. It's been on my mind a lot. I find it to be lovely and airy and challenging all at once. Feast away. Have a blessed Lord's Day!
is not righteousness but growth in righteousness,
not health but healing,
not being but becoming,
not rest but exercise.
We are not yet what we shall be,
but we are growing toward it.
The process is not yet finished but it is going on.
This is not the end but it is the road.
All does not yet gleam in glory
but all is being purified."
-Martin Luther

I'm so glad you posted this! WE learned a lot about Luther at our Sola Fide Conference this year. He was a monk for some time, never understood until later in his quest to find Christ that it was by Grace alone we're saved. Even as a monk, he didn't get it. It wasn't until he read the scripture for the millionth time and the time was right that he really "GOT" it. He was a neat man.
Have a great day.
